2.  Sheep
 
 this song was written one wednesday night
after home group Bible study.  pastor had just
given a little teaching on God as the Good
Shepherd, so i wrote a song about it

 

Bah bah black sheep have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir, three bags full.  (x2)

He’s the Good Shepherd the Bible tells me so
He leads me through and shows me which way to go
He takes me down to where the river flows
He’s the Good Shepherd and this is what I know


We’re all sheep, the sheep of His pastures
We’re just sheep, the sheep of His hand
We’re his children, supreme creation
Come from Adam, formed from the sand..

There are no black sheep in God’s pastures
He loves each one of us so much
He guides us gently with his rod and His staff
To keep us all within the Father’s loving touch

You can know this Good Shepherd of mine
He’ll guard you safely and keep you all of the time
He’ll lead you down to the waters still
Your life completed in His pleasing perfect will
